NEWARK, Ohio, Feb. 16, 2018 — Sixty-eight thousand three hundred and sixty-five Ohio high school and middle school students took part in College Credit Plus (CCP) during the 2016/2017 school year. Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is hosting CCP information sessions for students and parents who are thinking about taking advantage of the program.
These sessions will be an opportunity to discuss CCP with COTC staff and learn why it could benefit your student. The sessions will include a presentation and a question and answer portion. Some of the topics that will be covered include athletic eligibility, grade point average, course placement, testing, pros and cons of CCP, high school graduation and college pathways.

KNOX: Wednesday, March 21 at 6 - 7 p.m. – Ariel Hall Room 130, 236 S. Main St., Mount Vernon
College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses at COTC. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course with COTC through College Credit Plus is free. That means no cost for tuition, books or fees if you attend public school in Ohio. If you attend a private school or are homeschooled, you may have limited costs.
