NEWARK, Ohio, March 2, 2020 — Vendors interested in taking part in the Independence Day concert and fireworks event held annually on July 3 on the shared campus of Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark can apply now.
The vendor application form is available at go.osu.edu/fireworks
. The campus is seeking food vendors and other services or products appropriate for the family-friendly nature of the event.
This event is anticipated to draw 15,000–20,000 people to campus. This year's celebration begins with musical performances by local favorites Sticks and Stones followed by the Heisey Wind Ensemble. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk to the accompaniment of patriotic musical selections. Parking and admission are free.
The application deadline is Monday, May 4. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. The campus has a limited number of vendor spaces available. Vendors will be notified of their status via email by May 18. Accepted vendors are required to submit a certificate of insurance and pay a $150 fee. Registered 501(c)(3) organizations may participate at no cost.
