COTC Graduates 141 in Autumn Commencement Ceremony

NEWARK, Ohio, Dec. 19, 2016 Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) held its 64th commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 in Adena Hall on the Newark campus. Associate degrees and certificates were awarded to 141 graduates who completed programs in autumn semester 2016.

"Whether your story is one of career pursuit, expansion, or reinvention, the journey for many has been a delicate balancing act of work, family and school. And now you have arrived at the culmination of your educational experience: commencement," said COTC President Bonnie L. Coe, Ph.D., to the graduates in attendance. "This ceremony signifies the great accomplishment that comes from years of hard work and dedication to a cause of self-enrichment that can lead to the betterment of not only yourself but also our communities."

Graduates varied in age from 20 to 56 years old with an average age of 30. They represented 13 of Ohio's counties. The top five programs by number of graduates included:

Central Ohio Technical College opened in 1971 and is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2016.
