The New Civil Rights Movement
A New Consciousness
Keynote Speaker
G. Michael Payton, J.D.
Executive Director
Ohio Civil Rights Commission
This program will review
the conscious sparks that motivate people to protest and rally for improvement
of human treatment and conditions. Comparisons will be made between historical
and current civil rights’ programs and initiatives with speakers, documentaries,
videos, news clips and discussions to help educate and bring awareness to the
audience about the disproportionate treatment of minorities in the U.S. During
the program, you will learn the importance of “taking a stand” not only for
your future but for humanity’s future.
Free and open to the public.
Sponsored by Multi-Cultural Affairs and The Freedom School.
