2016 Licking County Senior Living Expo May 19

NEWARK, Ohio, May 13, 2016 – Licking County senior citizens have a date to circle on their calendars. The 2016 Licking County Senior Living Expo will be held on Thursday, May 19, on the Newark campus of Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark. It is presented in partnership by the Licking County Aging Program (LCAP), the Licking County Task Force on Aging (LCTFA) and the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) at COTC.

SeniorExpo_2016_lr.jpg"The Licking County Senior Living Expo is the largest, most comprehensive senior-focused event of its kind for the senior population of Licking County," said LLI Director Vicki Maple. "We're really excited for all the opportunities that will be presented to the senior community, and it's all available at no cost."

The expo begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. Activities will occur in the John Gilbert Reese Center, 1209 University Drive, Newark, Ohio.

"We have about 45 vendors registered, and each will be presenting a door prize; so there are many valuable senior resources to learn about and many prizes to win," said Maple. "There will also be a Senior Café included this year, complete with a coffee bar, bottled water, fresh baked cookies and entertainment with 'Rick & Sue.'"

The partnership between the Licking County Aging Program (LCAP), the Lifelong Learning Institute at Central Ohio Technical College, and the Licking County Task Force on Aging (LCTFA) is a new collaborative bringing each agency together to deliver one quality product.
