Office of Career Development has transitioned to remote service. The
office will be available 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Students & Alumni – Service will be provided via COTC Zoom, Skype, phone or email. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by contacting me at thatcher.42@mail.cotc.edu, or 740.366.9543. For Accessibility needs please notify the office 48 hours in advance.
Employers – The Office of Career Development continues in its effort to assist employers with their recruiting and personnel needs. We encourage organizations to utilize the free electronic job boards for each institution. Links to each site are located below:

The Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation has developed a
website specifically geared toward matching essential businesses with
Ohioans who are able and willing to work as an essential employee during

The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning Services is available to assist students and alumni of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College. The office is located on the second floor of the John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center, Room 226. The office provides students and graduates with individualized career planning and consultation with job search strategies, labor market information, assistance in preparing quality resumes and cover letters, help in developing effective interviewing skills, information on employers' expectations, and career assessment for undecided students.
