As an important part of the service you provided/are providing to the United States, you may be eligible to receive Veterans Educational Benefits. Complete the VA Agreement Form, the VA Enrollment Report, VA ITP, and the appropriate VA Application Form and return them with a copy of your DD214 or Notice of Basic Eligibility to COTC’s school certifying official, Misty Amacher: amacher.1@cotc.edu, 740.366.9459 or walk-ins Mondays from 1 - 5 p .m.  See the FORMS drop down menu below for links to these forms.

Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program DEA (chapter 35): DEA provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition, or who died while on active duty or as a result of a service related condition. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. These benefits may be used for degree and certificate programs.

Should a student enrolled at COTC be called to active service duty, he/she should report such immediately to the COTC Gateway. The Gateway will back the student out of the classes he/she is registered for and refund the student’s fees 100 percent (working in conjunction with Financial Aid if appropriate). Questions regarding this policy may be directed to the Gateway.
